She graduated from the University of Kentucky.
But, she felt there was more.
She applied and was accepted into three doctoral programs.

They hunkered down at the University of Georgia for her Ph.D. program
She learned the ins-and-outs of the program.
They moved into a charming little cottage.

October 8th, their precious four-year-old niece, Makiah, was killed by a teen on drugs.
This began the darkest days of their lives.
2011
They continued to muddle through their grief.
They sought out a grief counselor.
She graduated from her doctoral program.
She began working at the University of Georgia.
2012
July 18th: Caleb Ryan Arnold made his entrance into the world.
Becoming new parents consumed their year.
